Tirta Empul Temple is a holy spring water temple which was built in 10th century. This place is also enlisted by UNESCO as the Cultural Heritage Site in 2012. In this temple, there is a bath that is consecrated by local for ritual purpose. This bath is divided into three pools. Each pool has it fountains that communicate with the holy spring water inside of the temple. These fountains are believed to have their divine ability to neutralize either physical or spiritual diseases. By diving under each fountain, it is believed that it could cure all the maladies.
Overview
Tour is started from your hotel. Our guide will pick you up at the lobby. Depart from the hotel to Tirta Empul Temple. When you are arrived at the temple, you will be guided to get inside the temple. You will wear Balinese costume that is provided at the entrance gate. Before the ritual, take your time to explore the temple complex and take some lovely pictures around the inner court. Whenever you are ready, our guide will explain you about how to commence the ritual. Offerings are prepared for you to complete the ritual. Meanwhile, you should change your cloth with the wet suit that is already prepared for you. Locker is also provided so you can keep your belongings save on the box. At this time, you are ready to get into the water. However, please listen carefully to the instructions from your guide because there are some important rules you have to follow in order to do the ritual righteously.
Note: women during their period is not permitted to do the ritual.
